Kashmir Trip travel tips and experiance

The first breath taking view of kashmir valley that i got when I exit from the Nehru tunnal connecting Jammu with Kashmir. It was an awsome experiance, like the world on the other side has changed or I could remember a scene from Movie Narnia. It was wonderfull experiance of fresh SNOW from the SKY. It was too cold and everything around me was WHITE.

Some important tips if you have never travel in SNOW areas:

• Get yourself clothes that can cover you, hands and face specially.
• The car in which you are travelling should have good GRIP on tyres else it will not be able to climb the snow covered roads and skid every time.

• The train provide the good connectivity till Jammu , Udhampur is the last station till which train can drop you.
• Its a adventerous drive from Jammu to Kashmir in Car, it goes up and down for 6-7 hours before your reach DAL LAKE.
• The Gulmarg is just an hour long from Dal lake and its really a very peaceful and beautiful place.
• There is another place while you travel from Jammu to Kashmir, Patnitop.. this is good small location in Jammu while on the way to kashmir, but you have to travel another 1 hour to reach it from the actual way between jammu and kashmir. A night stay at Patnitop would be great.
